Pomology is a concept album which expresses complex ideas and emotions through the characteristics of simple things that we all know and love – fruits. Clouds On Strings’ musical backgrounds range from classical to metal, and from jazz to country-rock, and each style is incorporated to convey the confidence of the “Apple,” the heavy seductiveness of the “Banana,” the reserved quirkiness of the “Kiwi,” and the blatant misunderstanding of the “Grapefruit.”

If you enjoy our music, we would greatly appreciate it if you considered paying for a download of the album. It costs us a lot to put this stuff together. If we could do it for free and still be able to live life, then we'd love to give it away. If you can't afford to pay for it but would still like to download the album, shoot us an email and we can work something out!

Track Name: Apple
You can't wait for anything can you now?

You wont pay for anything will you now?

You, when an apple is all you've got, you've got nothing to lose
You, with a handful of seeds, you know, there's nothing left to chose

...And the other one
with the seasoned tongue
that palate that knows everyone.

You, when the ocean is all you've got you've got nothing to lose
You, with a world full of seas you know you'll find forbidden fruit
Track Name: Banana
Open you're eyes,
hope you're not blind
hope you can drive
you'll be just fine
you'll be alright.

Peel back the skin
and let my insides breath
you might be surprised
to find what's underneath

Look, I am fine,
just like someone
who never had a light
in their eyes
what now, Tyler?
you're giving me that
look, in your eyes
just like someone
who never saw a fight
in their lives
what now, Strobel?
you're giving me that look.

Everyone's got a motive
nobody can control this
another failed notice
nobody is below...

You can drive
all your life
and worry if you'll get to work in time
you can ride
if you like
cause everybody gets a second try
don't worry if you'll get to work in time
cause everybody gets a second try
Track Name: Kiwi
Pick one,
it's not a crime.
There are a million others
just like this
I'm one of them.

Is it just nervousness?
Is it just,
to have desires?
It's a crime to not.

Locked up in the wreckage,
the key we never see.

...and then I went to where he died,
he turned into the other kind.
...and then I lay next to his side,
and then he turned into us.

us, oh, us
Track Name: Grapefruit
I'm alive!
Damn, what a fall!
No way I made it down this far...

Look up,
family above
they think that I still have a body...

Look, my skin,
it. is. broken
but you can dry out my seeds...

Everyone, I'm sorry I had to go
This is only a dream, I know.

I keep you healthy,
you think I'm nothing.
Coming from the ground,
I think that's something.
